About The Training Desk

About us

What does The Training Desk actually do?
We help your team learn new software and settle into new roles with confidence. That means instructor-led, virtual, on-site, and one-on-one training, plus the documentation that supports it, from user guides and SOPs to knowledge bases and onboarding programs. Explore what we build or browse the Trainer's Corner to see the kind of work we do.
Are you a software platform or an LMS?
No. We're a training and documentation partner. We can design and organize your learning ecosystem and work inside whatever tools you already use, but we don't sell software or a learning management system.
Who do you usually work with?
Hotel and operations managers, HR and IT leads, project managers, business owners, in-house trainers, and the employees who use the software every day. See how we've helped teams in our case studies.
Training Services

Our training

What kinds of training do you offer?
Instructor-led sessions, virtual training, on-site workshops, and one-on-one coaching, plus train-the-trainer programs so your own experts can carry it forward. See it all on the Learn page.
Can you train on software that isn't yours?
Almost always, yes. We learn your software the way your team uses it, then build training and documentation around your real workflows, screens, and data.
How big can a training session be?
We keep groups small enough that everyone gets hands-on time and their questions answered. For larger rollouts we run multiple sessions or train your in-house trainers to scale it.
Documentation

The documents we deliver

What documentation do you create?
User guides, SOPs, knowledge bases, quick-reference guides, administrator guides, onboarding checklists, and training manuals, each written in plain language. See our Documentation Services.
What do the finished documents look like?
Each deliverable exists in two forms: a browsable web version and a professionally designed PDF, with a cover page, version history, table of contents, and branded tip and note boxes. See a real example in the CoreFlow case study.
Do we own the materials you create?
Yes. Everything we build for you is yours to keep, use, and update. We hand over editable source files, not just finished PDFs.
Preparing for Training

Getting ready

How should we prepare for training day?
Our free Training Readiness Checklist walks through everything to have in place, from accounts and devices to a quiet space and a clear goal, so your session starts on time and your team gets the most from it.
Do our people need any experience with the software first?
No. We meet learners where they are. We can start from the very basics or focus on advanced workflows, depending on who's in the room. Our training tips show how we keep it approachable.
After Training

What happens next

What does the team get to keep after training?
A participant guide, any quick-reference sheets for their role, and access to the resources we built for your team, so learning continues long after the session ends.
What if people forget what they learned?
That's exactly what documentation is for. Quick-reference guides, knowledge base articles, and short video tutorials give your team a place to look things up the moment they need it.
Working With The Training Desk

How we work together

How do projects usually start?
With a Discovery Call. It's a relaxed conversation about your team, your software, and what you're trying to accomplish. From there we suggest a path and a rough plan. There's no obligation and no hard sell.
How long does a typical engagement take?
It depends on scope. A focused piece of documentation or a single workshop can take a couple of weeks. A full learning ecosystem is usually phased over a few months so your team can absorb it.
How much does it cost?
Every engagement is scoped to your team and goals, so we quote after the Discovery Call rather than list fixed packages. You'll always know the plan and the price before anything begins.
Do you work with teams outside your local area?
Yes. We deliver virtual training and remote documentation projects for teams anywhere, and we travel on-site when hands-on, in-person sessions are the right fit.
