Fictional case study · CoreFlow was created by The Training Desk to demonstrate our work
Case Study 01 · Business Management Software

How we built CoreFlow's entire learning ecosystem

CoreFlow had a capable product but no way to teach it. The Training Desk became their outsourced learning & documentation team, and built everything their customers needed to adopt it with confidence.

The Challenge

A finished product nobody knew how to use

CoreFlow had built a capable platform and won 4,500 customers, but adoption was fragile. New customers struggled through setup with no structured onboarding, and support answered the same questions every day.

There were no end-user guides, no administrator documentation, and no central place for teams to learn. As CoreFlow prepared its next release, leadership knew the product was ready, but the learning experience around it was not.

Why The Training Desk

Hired as their L&D department

Rather than commissioning a single manual, CoreFlow brought us on to design a complete, connected learning ecosystem, everything their end users, administrators, trainers, and new hires would need, from implementation through long-term adoption.

We started by learning their product and their people, then built one consistent environment that every guide, video, and resource would share.

The Approach

A repeatable, build-once process

Foundation first, then a believable product, then the learning ecosystem, so every asset shares the same screens, terms, and brand.

01
Foundation
We defined CoreFlow's brand, company, product architecture, terminology, and documentation standards, the reference every deliverable is built on.
02
A believable product
We designed the actual product screens in one design system, so every screenshot across the ecosystem is consistent and real, built once, reused everywhere.
03
The learning ecosystem
Starting with the flagship Home Dashboard, we produced the full set, guides, references, SOPs, knowledge base, video, and assessment, each as a web experience and a branded deliverable.
The Product

The CoreFlow environment we designed

Believable, consistent screens that became the screenshots in every guide, video, and quick reference.

Plus Team Hub and Schedule Center, designed in the same system and reused across every deliverable.

The Results

A complete learning ecosystem, and a repeatable framework for every release

12
Deliverables produced for the flagship module, each in two formats
4 roles
End users, administrators, trainers and new hires, each with their own path
1 blueprint
A reusable set that clones to every future module and release
What the ecosystem is designed to change: fewer repeat support tickets, a shorter path to proficiency, and one place every customer can look things up, so the product finally teaches itself.
